Not bad, but...

...I think it's broken. I got a 147.

Also not sure about the music apart from what you hear within the test.

Well

Yes, a 10.

Amazingly, I think this should be frontpaged even though there is nothing in it that merits that. But you put all of those mistakes, problems, bugs and downright bastardry together and you end up with something amazing. Currently 29 minutes and 144 deaths in, I'm hoping it won't go on much longer... but I know it will, and that's why I love it :)

Grrr....

Can't get past level 24... yet!

Love it. Really do - for future reference, the soundtrack is what makes it. Sure, it's a relatively original concept, well-executed, and consistent retro-style graphics don't hurt (though pixellation is becomming overused these days, it's not out of place here), but it really is the ambient music that makes me keep on playing where I'd normally have quit.

Just a quick question - does the strength of gravity wells differ from level to level?

Like everyone's saying, the par - for me, it's the waste that I can't match up to, and some of the times. There's also a level with a par of 0 gravity wells, which I'm sure must be a mistake. But that's neither here nor there for gameplay experience, so it hasn't affected the score.

There was just one little thing that stopped this from being a 10/10: I wanted a little bit more in the tutorial. It was good keeping it short and all, but it took me quite a while to work out what to do with the colour mixing stars. I thought they were storage at first. If you make a sequal, perhaps have storage in it... but that isn't for me to say.

tl;dr - Awesome. Music makes it work. Wanted to see something about mixing colours in the tutorial. Have a 9/10

Not bad

But too easy. Ignore the essay guy, he's clearly just incapable.

There were a lot of bugs, though. For example, I am 110% awake (hooray for red bull?) and the game does not seem like stopping.

Add a quality button in the next one too, it got kinda laggy towards the end unless I turned it down. I know, I know, get a better comp, but it really wouldn't take much to add one in either.

I'm interested to see what happens in the sequal; the storyline is sufficiently different, the gameplay would be solid with difficulty adjustment (I let in 3 enemies all game), and the graphics aren't bad.

5 mins of fun

Far too easy - only lasted 5 minutes and while it was an interesting concept for a starting point, I'd like to see a return with more. I understand that the entire point is that it's a one-button-game, but maybe make the levels more interactive? I don't know.

Anyway I only got one cheat on cheat mode, maybe there are ones that make it more interesting, but to be honest it wasn't so good a game as to entice me back into playing it all again -- especially seeing as I beat the "best time" on two levels and matched it on two more.

One thing

Turbo grafix 16 was actually 8-bit.

Just saying.

Great game

4098 points :)

Simple, addictive, and very very polished. Everyone should play this at least once

Things to improve:

Steering goes the wrong way in reverse
Make the field smaller, and the ball and cars larger to make play quicker
Make the cars turn a little tighter to compensate for this
Draw your own GFX for cars to make it look better
Resubmit :)

Potential

You talk it up, and on the basis of that I was expecting something longer with smoother animation - and better base drawings - and sound that wasn't noticably bad.

It's a nice concept, though - not a new one, mind, but you package it nicely - and if you don't do something better in the next one, I promise you I'll steal you concept and make something of it myself. Because at the end of the day, this has potential. Learn to draw and try again. You might be surprised at the difference in response.

Hmm

I was actually quite disappointed with this. After the other 3, the English wasn't as good as usual, the health bars went negative, and there was nearly no co-op aspect at all. I understand that the kidnapping's part of the plot, but having given the other three in the series 8, 9 and 10 I just feel that Chapter 4 isn't ready for release.
